Welcome to www.ShrewsburyTownCentre.co.uk
There are over 700 retail businesses in Shrewsbury town centre and a brand new forum has been created to draw this business group together. The aims of the forum are to contribute to marketing the town as a destination and work with local councils as they make serious improvements to the trading environment, and also to assist as other public and private partners develop the much-needed VISION/MASTERPLAN to set out ambitions for the town centre’s future.
This is a revolutionary new ‘model' for a business forum and is backed by businesses large and small.
This Economic Forum is a gathering of likeminded traders and business owners concerned for the future of their town centre. NOT a membership organisation - no fees to pay. NO monthly meetings - seasonal forums only. NOT replicating any trade association or business organisation that currently exists.
Fay Easton, on behalf of Shropshire Enterprise Partnership said:
“It is invaluable for Shrewsbury town centre businesses to get together and discuss local trading conditions. With the retail sector in the UK predicted to suffer a slow down over the coming months, it is vital that the businesses act together to minimise the negative effects in Shrewsbury town centre.”
